Valdomiro’s Law: A Rejoinder

In his reply to my comment, Valdomiro Pinto rejects my evidence as a consequence of sample selection bias a la Heckman. His argument, he continues, is based on my 3 points historical data sample. Although I can buy that France’s leader, Zizou Argelino, was far from metrosexual, the rest of the team was taken from London’s West End musical “Chicago”. Claiming that Ruinaldinho’s hair didn’t have gel is also a half-truth: it did have gel to keep the little curls wavering around in the air and, most importantly, had a HAIR BAND which is an unequivocal (iif condition) of gayness (see proof in appendix VIII). Then, mysteriously, Dr Valdomiro does not even mention Italy in 2006.
I’ve run several extreme bounds robustness tests on my dataset, deleting 2 observations at a time, and the result holds: metroxexuality is not equivalent to WC defeat*. Pace Dr Valdomiro.
* Further proof can be seen in recent data as argued by Jamon-Jimenez (2010) in the special issue in JSB on Valdomiro’s law.
