The Dumbest Generation

Qualquer pessoa que tenha lidado com os millennials, a geração de pequenos petistas super-alimentados que cresceu recebendo troféus sem vencer uma única partida e que conversa ouvindo rap em ipods, não pode ter qualquer esperança de que as coisas vão melhorar no futuro. Preguiça, alienação, tédio e ignorância são apenas alguns dos atributos desses jovens, em parte vítimas dos pedagogos modernos que pregam a satisfação dos alunos como o principal objetivo da educação. Mark Bauerlein, em seu livro The Dumbest Generation, disserta sobre um dos principais problemas relacionados a essa geração, que é o fundamento da democracia americana, a cidadania.
